The artwork is in my studio to be shipped to the client and billed through Xanadu, which takes a small commission for handling the paperwork. An additional advantage for me is that I can show unframed watercolors and giclees and ship in a mailing tube, with the client paying little for shipping and handling his own framing.

FREE OR UNLIMITED IMAGES

The studio artists are allowed to show ten images for free or have an unlimited inventory of images on the website for a small monthly fee. The images are separated into categories to make selections easier. These are paintings, sculpture, photography, glass, original prints, digital paintings, metal wall art and jewelry .

Others are functional, wearable, artistic furniture, murals, conceptual art, textiles, giclees, lithographs and collage.

ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES

Xanadu also provides economical ways to advertise our work in their monthly two-page co-op ad in the American Art Collector magazine. There are forty spaces provided and the artwork is arranged very well with the names of the artists quite readable. They also print a small catalog every other month to send to their collectors. Both the ads and catalog images are also displayed on their home page.

I recently participated in the February one hundredth issue of the magazine and will have a small painting in the March issue. It is shown below – “Geraniums”, a 22″ x 30″ unframed watercolor – $900.
