I don’t believe I have ever appreciated the coming of spring as much as I have this year and I welcome the new blooms in our garden with increased cheer and hope. The news this year has overwhelmed me with a constant barrage of antipathy from both world leaders and private citizens. Looking to nature to restore my spirits has been my best solution.

Spring brings new blossoms to our yard with both cherry and plum trees. The dogwoods, both white and pink and the wisteria are all in my neighborhood and surround us with their beauty. Several years ago, a lady commissioned me to paint my first pink dogwood and I have done several of them since. The painting below is on the cover of my 2025 Pomegranate calendar and is still available on-line.
