“Mixed Bouquet” 40″ x 40″ watercolor on canvas – $2,500
Blossoming in an abundance of color is a floral group show by seven women artists at the Sheridan Lawrence Gallery. The women display a variety of styles and mediums and the show is cheery and bright.
Sharon Engel’s oils are her usual lush garden scenes in her familiar impressionistic style of painting.
Jani Hoberg’s prints display nature in a rich variety of line and texture.
Tricia May’s soft garden images are also impressionistic in style.
Judy Phipps shows unusual crisp, large scale flowers painted in oils on steel.
Emily Shultz has a variety of small, charming, classic still lifes.
Nancy Tongues’ contributions are bold garden and flower market scenes.
My own paintings are large, bright watercolors and oils. The painting above is one of them.
The Lawrence Gallery is located at 19700 S.W. Highway 18 midway between McMinnville and Sheridan. It is open daily, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The show will continue through June 30.
