When I was studying painting and art history at the University of Washington years ago, I could not have imagined that in the future I would be sharing gallery space with Michelangelo, but that is what is going to happen in September.
I will be having a show at both Salishan and Sheridan Lawrence Galleries and the Sheridan Gallery has recently acquired a life-size reproduction of “The Pieta” sculpture. I am thrilled because I never got to see the original sculpture. I was able to see both the original “David” sculpture and the reproduction in Florence and was equally awed by both of them.
